Founder & CEO CredentialFlow

Hi, I'm Ryan Rimkus, the founder of CredentialFlow. With nearly 20 years of experience in IT Support, I've had the opportunity to grow through the ranks—from starting my IT career on the Help Desk to leading teams at the Director level. Throughout my career, I've been driven by a passion for solving complex problems, optimizing processes, and improving the end-user experience.

I created CredentialFlow because I believe secure credential delivery shouldn't be complicated. It should be seamless, efficient, and designed with the end-user in mind. My focus has always been on streamlining workflows and making life easier for IT teams, administrative professionals, and end-users, while keeping security a key consideration every step of the way. At the core, CredentialFlow is about bridging gaps—between efficiency and simplicity, between technology and people. And that's exactly what I've dedicated my career to doing.

Our Story

Why CredentialFlow Exists

In all my years working in IT support, one thing always stood out—companies invest heavily in locking down their networks. Firewalls, zero-trust policies, password complexity rules, encryption, access controls—you name it. But when it comes to something as basic (and critical) as delivering Day 1 credentials to a new hire? That's where the process breaks down.

Over the years, I've heard it all. Passwords scribbled on sticky notes. Credentials sent in plain text to personal email accounts. Passwords read over the phone. Sometimes they're even shared before an employee's official start date, with no clear controls in place. It's a security professional's nightmare—and all too common.

Most people assume the risk is low at this stage. But why leave a door open at all?

That's exactly why I built CredentialFlow.

I wanted a solution that actually worked in the real world—where people are busy, mistakes happen, and security can't be an afterthought. Most tools focus only on encryption, but still leave teams juggling manual steps, disconnected systems, and messy workflows.

CredentialFlow changes that. It simplifies and secures credential delivery from start to finish. Not just by encrypting data, but by engineering an experience that's layered, controlled, and, honestly, kind of cool.

How CredentialFlow Works (Without Giving Away All the Secrets)

At its core, CredentialFlow is built on layered security. First, every organization's data is encrypted and access is controlled—ensuring no one outside of your approved administrators can view sensitive information.

But we don't stop at database encryption. The actual credentials aren't stored alongside other user data. They're kept in a separate, secure environment, completely detached from the core system. Even if someone managed to find them (which they won't), those credentials would be useless without a unique decryption key, stored and rotated in an entirely different location.

For added peace of mind, we also give organizations the option to delete credentials immediately after they're retrieved, or let them expire and be automatically purged from our system 24 hours after delivery. This ensures sensitive data doesn't linger longer than necessary.

This isn't just about adding more locks—it's about smart separation. Even if someone tried to breach part of the system, they'd find nothing but encrypted noise without the missing pieces.

CredentialFlow isn't only about security. It's designed to make onboarding easier for everyone involved—whether it's IT, HR, or the end-user. For organizations that want an extra layer of protection, we also offer split responsibility settings:

  • HR teams can manage personal information and onboarding schedules without ever seeing credentials.
  • IT teams can handle credential setup without access to personal employee details.

This separation of duties minimizes risk and helps protect privacy without adding friction.

CredentialFlow saves time, reduces human error, and gives you real-time visibility into credential delivery. But we're not stopping there—security is never a one-time job. We're continuously improving, adding new safeguards and proactive alerts to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

CredentialFlow is the missing piece in the onboarding process. It's secure. It's smart. And it just makes sense.
